BARCODÓN
Misantla Northern México
TECHNICAL FIELD INFORMATION
Basin carbonates with natural fractures producing heavy oil (16 – 18 °API).
Main field:
Formation of Agua Nueva and Tamaulipas.
Area: 10.995 Km 2
BARCODÓN CONTRACTUAL AREA
DEP Petróleo y Gas was awarded the A1 Barcodon Contract Area in the third phase of International Tender rounds CNH-R01-L03/2015.
In May 2016, the Barcodon Contractual Area License Contract (10.995 Km2) started and the first land well was drilled by a company other than Petróleos Mexicanos. The drilling of the Barcodon-21 well allowed the discovery of a new formation with significant potential in the Tampico-Misantla Basin.
DEP Petróleo y Gas finished the evaluation period with much success and will start the Development Plan of the contractual area.
The discovery of the new field in Barcodon presents initial estimates of original oil of 180 million barrels.
CATEDRAL
Southeast basin, Southern México
TECHNICAL FIELD INFORMATION
Peri-reef carbonates with condensate gas storages (55 -60 °API).
Main field:
Upper Cretaceous and Medium Cretaceous.
Area: 57.991 Km 2
CATEDRAL CONTRACTUAL AREA
DEP Petróleo y Gas was awarded the A6 Catedral Contractual Area, in the third phase of the International Tender Round CNH-R01-L03/2015.
In May 2016, the Catedral Contractual Area Licensing Contract (57.991 Km2) begins.
Catedral presents hydrocarbon column in peri-reef carbonates with condensate gas storage with flow zones favored by natural fracturing in more compact facies. DEP Petróleo y Gas finished the evaluation period with the drilling of a well with successful results and will begin the development period.
Initial production of the first well in Catedral
1,400 BPCED in 2018
Our production results always take into account the preservation of the environment and compliance with our corporate social responsibility policies, which results in a strong commitment to the communities of influence in the south of Mexico.
CUERVITO Y FRONTERIZO
Burgos Basin – North of México
TECHNICAL FIELD INFORMATION
Compact sandstones that produce gas and condensate.
Main field:
Eoceno Yegua, Cook Mountain and Queen City.
Area: Cuervito – 210 km 2
Area: Fronterizo – 210 km 2
CUERVITO AND FRONTERIZO
DEP Petróleo y Gas begins its operations in the Burgos Basin in 2003 in partnership with Petrobras and Inpex, in the Cuervito and Fronterizo Blocks, with a Contract for the development of non-associated gas fields in the Burgos Basin – Northern Mexico.
Cuervito and Fronterizo Blocks present gas deposits and low permeability condensates.
A production increase of 800% was achieved by implementing new technologies in the drilling of 116 development wells and 3 exploratory wells as well as new technologies for production operations.
Maximum operated production
75,000 MMpcd in 2012
Production results are integrated with environmental preservation and corporate social responsibility policies, through the commitment with communities in areas affected.
ÉBANO
Tampico Basin, Misantla Northern México
TECHNICAL FIELD INFORMATION
Naturally fractured carbonates producing extra-heavy oil (8 – 12 °API).
Main field:
Cretaceous San Felipe and Cretaceous Agua Nueva.
Area: 1569.13 km 2
ÉBANO CONTRACTUAL AREA
DEP Petróleo y Gas in partnership with Sinopec, has drilled more than 340 horizontal wells in the Ébano, Pánuco and Cacalilao areas in the Tampico Misantla Basin – Northern Mexico in the period of 2006-2013. 2013 began the Integral Exploration and Production Contract (CIEP) in the Ébano Contractual Area (1,569.13 Km2).
On August 3, 2018, CNH signed, on behalf of the State, the Hydrocarbon Extraction Contract with Pemex Exploración y Producción, DS Servicios Petroleros, S.A. de C.V. and D&S Petroleum, S.A. de C.V.
Ébano has carbonate deposits naturally fractured with extra heavy oil. The development strategy implemented in the CIEP Contract allowed an increase of production of more than 150%, achieving the reactivation of fields that have more than 100 years of exploitation.
In 2018 a consortium is established between DEP Petróleo y Gas, Sinopec and Pemex to migrate the CIEP contract to a production sharing contract, starting operations in August of the same year.
Maximum operated production
14,500 BPD in 2014
DEP Petróleo y Gas achieved a strong relationship with the communities present throughout the Ébano Contractual Area.
MIQUETLA
Tampico Basin, Misantla Northern México
TECHNICAL FIELD INFORMATION
Light crude in carbonates, compact gaps and sands. Non-conventional prospective resources.
Main field:
Cretaceous, Tamabra Formation, Chicontepec Eoceno-Paleocene, and Jurassic Pimienta.
Area: 112 km 2
MIQUETLA CONTRACTUAL AREA
In 2013 began the Integral Exploration and Production Contract (CIEP) in Miquetla.
With the technical complexities of the deposits in the Chicontepec region, it was possible to increase production by 320% optimizing operating costs and drilling times. On November 21, 2018, the CNH signed, on behalf of the State, the Hydrocarbon Extraction Contract with Pemex Exploración y Producción and Operadora de Campos DWF, S.A. de C.V.
DEP Petróleo y Gas has advanced in characterization studies for the drilling of exploratory prospects in non-conventional deposits.
Maximum production
2,100 BPED in 2017
DEP Petróleo y Gas presents better production performance in CIEP for the Chicontepec region.
